Just a body
13’00, United Kingdom, 2022
Just a Body is a short documentary film that explores uncontrolled experiences of femininity. We tried to restore spaces that exist in between our consciousness to reality, in order to place the body at once with its personal experience.
Romi Sarfaty is a contemporary performance artist and practitioner, based in Glasgow. Her work is inspired by the worlds of Mythology, associative streams of consciousness, and the dialogue between ugliness and beauty. She is curious about the different feminine representations and experiences, and the images that emerge from the banalest of the everyday. In her work, she often creates new juxtapositions of iconic images in attempt to explore new readings of vibrating visual worlds. She is interested in finding balance and quiet in the chaos and the robust. She enjoys working in collaboration, and strongly believes in research-based work and collaborating with different social groups in order to create a genuine authentic piece of work.
The film will be part of the screening on 30.10.2022, 19:00-20:30, Festival and Congress Centre – Varna.
