A journey from the interior and exterior of the body. The manifestation of one organism, one eye, and one universe, showing that they are all connected. We are all a part of the same cell that reflects the mystery of life provoking a dialogue with the other. From a primitive language, the body expresses its most internal, intimate and wild memories.
Daniel Magaña is a multidisciplinary artist who was born in and lives in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. Film director, butoh dancer, photographer and movement researcher. From a very early age he had his first approach with the camerа. He has explored the body through various disciplines such as butoh dance, kung fu, and free diving. He begins with documentary photography, which takes him on a tour through several countries. In 2017 presents his first photographic exhibition “Spirit of a Journey”. Since 2019 he is part of the Camino.cuerpobutoh dance company and Phi movement contributing as dancer and visual creator. He is currently in a constant discovery of movement and its capabilities to be shown in different formats.
