A thought about the inevitability and necessity of collapsing and rising in everyday life manifested in movement.

Djamila (1997, the Netherlands) is a young dance-creative who performs, creates and teaches. With Lemniscate she makes her debut as a dance-filmmaker. As a young maker, she is exploring her artistic identity by following her intuition and in return carefully listening when the work speaks back to her. Complete honesty in movement, presence and understanding is key to her. She likes to explore the use of energetic tensions which are pulling and pushing in relationships between people and space. Djamila tries to relate her art to the happenings of life, by doing so she aspires to invite people to feel, reflect and connect.

The film will be part of the screening on 29.10.2022, 19:00-20:30, Festival and Congress Centre – Varna.
